1. Data controller

The data controller responsible for this website is the entity named on the imprint page.

2. Hosting

This website is hosted on GitHub Pages, a service provided by GitHub, Inc., 88 Colin P. Kelly Jr. Street, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA. When you visit this site, GitHub processes technical data (such as IP address, browser type, date and time of access) to deliver the page to you and for security and operational purposes. This may involve processing data in the United States. GitHub participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and relies on Standard Contractual Clauses (Art. 46 GDPR) as a safeguard for this transfer. For details, see GitHub's Privacy Statement. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in reliably and securely operating this website).

3. Server logs

GitHub, as our hosting provider, automatically collects standard server log data, including IP address, requested page, referrer, browser/device information, and timestamp. These logs are used solely for security and operational purposes (e.g. detecting abuse) and are not used for tracking or analytics. GitHub does not publish a fixed retention period for this data; it is retained only as long as necessary for these purposes, per GitHub's General Privacy Statement. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest).

4. Cookie consent management (Cookiebot)

This website uses Cookiebot, a cookie consent management platform provided by Cybot A/S, Havnegade 39, 1058 Copenhagen, Denmark, to obtain and record your consent before any non-essential cookies (such as Google Analytics) are activated. To do so, Cookiebot processes a partially anonymized IP address (last digits removed), your consent status, the timestamp of your consent, and your browser information. This data is stored within the EU and is not transferred to third countries. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR (legal obligation to document consent) in conjunction with Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in demonstrable, transparent consent management). Data retention: consent records are stored for 12 months, after which you will be asked for consent again. For details, see Cybot's privacy policy.

5. Google Analytics

This website uses Google Analytics, a web analytics service provided by Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland ("Google"). Data may be further processed by Google LLC in the United States. Google Analytics uses cookies to analyze how visitors use this site (e.g. pages visited, session duration, referral source). The data collected may include your IP address, device and browser information, and usage behavior. Google participates in the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework, which serves as the legal basis for this international data transfer. Google Analytics is only activated after you give consent via the cookie banner shown on your first visit. Legal basis: Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR (consent). You can withdraw or change your consent at any time via the cookie settings icon at the bottom left of the page. Data retention: Event data is retained for 2 months. User data (associated with cookies, user identifiers, or advertising identifiers) is retained for 14 months. The retention period is automatically reset to its full duration whenever the user interacts with the site again during this window.

6. Cookies, summary

No cookies are set before you make a choice in the Cookiebot banner, except the one needed to store that choice itself. If you consent, Google Analytics cookies as described above are set in addition.

7. Your rights

Under the GDPR, you have the right to:

If you have consented to data processing (e.g. Google Analytics), you may withdraw that consent at any time via the cookie settings icon, without affecting the lawfulness of processing before the withdrawal. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority, in particular in the member state of your habitual residence, place of work, or the place of the alleged infringement.
